This is why I’m afraid

I was at a party Saturday night, and over the course of the evening, a true hatred for Carrot Top emerged. I think it began when someone asked everyone to name the best celebrity that they’ve ever met, and I said that my husband’s answer was Carrot Top, whom he once glimpsed at a regional airport in Florida (his real answer was Mark Lenard, who played Sarek on Star Trek). This actually led to some people wishing for the death of Carrot Top. Lest you be worried for the little guy, he of the crazy fro and innocuous-yet-annoying jokes, just look at this picture. I got it from the Fug Girls, who have a great little story to go with it in their December 2006 archives. But seriously, just look at this guy. Eeek.

I kinda want him dead, too.

I really don’t have that much of a hatred of Carrot Top as I let on. I actually thought his appearance on Scrubs as “the most annoying man in the world” was actually pretty funny. (And while he was on there, he made some joke about a cookbook for women who can’t cook — basically, it was a cookbook binder with the yellow pages inside.)

You are right, though — he’s kinda scary. But something tells me his actually kinda cool, on some level, maybe if we knew him.

And if my dad worked for NASA, I’d probably be a little spacey, too.

(Who says just Carrot Top gets the corny jokes?)

Touche. I don’t actually hate Carrot Top either, but he really is a good joke butt. Honestly though, the last time I played Loaded Questions, when asked if I could kill anyone in the world, who would it be, my answer was Boris Becker. I don’t know why…the game just seems to bring out a weird streak. Or maybe I have some subconscious hatred of redheads, which could be problematic, considering I am one. Hmmm. Bears thinking about.
